NOVA SCOTIA WILL INVITE NEW CANDIDATES VIA THE HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS IMMIGRATION PILOT

On June 11, 2024, Nova Scotia extended a special invitation to candidates through its Healthcare Professionals Immigration Pilot. Those who received a Letter of Interest on this date are now eligible to participate in the physician draw. This initiative aims to address the province's healthcare needs by facilitating the immigration process for qualified healthcare professionals.

Eligible candidates who complete this process may receive a conditional job offer from a healthcare employer in Nova Scotia. This job offer is a crucial step in enabling them to apply under the Physician streams of the Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program (NS PNP) or the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). However, it is essential to understand that participation in this Pilot, along with nomination under a non-Express Entry stream or endorsement under the AIP, does not contribute an additional 600 points to the applicants’ Express Entry profiles.

This round of invitations is specifically targeted at those listed under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) code 31209. Notably, only candidates with work experience as a podiatrist have been asked to apply, emphasizing the demand for this particular specialization within Nova Scotia's healthcare system.
